Troubleshooting USB Products
Q: I get an ODBC error when I start KurtSPC that does not let me select a database or run KurtSPC. What can I do?
A: It is likely that the ODBC configuration is not correct. Go to the Control Panel and select "Administrative Tools". Choose "Data Sources (ODBC)" from the list.
If you are using Access as your database format, follow these steps:
- If a "Kurt" entry does not exist, create it. Otherwise, select the "Kurt" entry.
- If you needed to create a new entry, select the Access driver as your driver type, Press OK.
- Find the location of the database you would like to use as your Kurt database.
If you are editing an existing entry you will need to press the "Select..." button to do this.
Also, there are "Repair and "Compress" features on this screen that may help increase the speed of your database.
Save your changes and then run KurtSPC again.
If you are using SQL, follow these steps:
- If a "KurtSQL" entry does not exist, create it. Otherwise, select the "KurtSQL" entry.
- If you needed to create a new entry, select the Microsoft SQL driver as your driver type, Press OK.
- Find the location of the Kurt formatted database you would like to use as your Kurt database. If you are editing an existing entry you will need to press the "Select..." button to do this.
Save your changes and then run KurtSPC again.
